Good upgrade!
I have used this combo set 3 x now. I'm very happy with my purchase! I have an older model 20v Worx weedeater. It does not have automatic feed. That feature is a game changer. Before I purchased this, I thought I needed more power because it was taking a long time to edge my 8,000 sq ft lot. I have a fence line, sidewalk, driveway, flowerbeds,
seperate patio, play yard, above ground swimming pool border and 3 pathways to tackle. The worx weedeater was the first and only edger I had ever used. Being a female, I didn't realize how much better it was than a gas powered weedeater. I started helping my hubby tackle the lawn about a year ago. When I requested "more power" he went out and bought a gas powered one for me. It was a hot mess! I immediately bought a strap to help carry the extra weight. It was super loud (even with ear protection), gas fumes were giving me headache, and the constant flipping over of the weedeater to feed new 8 inch line into it was RIDICULOUS and time consuming. Who designed an edger that needs constant feeding? The added power also caused me to chew up my fence line and posts very easily. This experience made me realize I didn't need more power, I needed more batteries.
Features I had taken for granted on my older model worx were: the wheels for edging easily, the one speed power button, the metal gauge that protrudes to give your eye the ability to know how far your string extends (so you don't chew up the fence line), the line is slightly thinner so it doesn't chew up the fence very much even if you do get too close.
As a female who doesn't have a lot of experience with lawn tools, this is such a user friendly tool! The new model is more efficient (automatic feed button) because I don't need to flip it over anymore to extend the line, that saves a bunch of time. I also made a fool of myself with the gas powered edger trying to get the speed right. My husband asked me why I was revving the engine. I was so spoiled with the worx one speed feature, that it was too much effort to contol that gas powered thing. I promptly returned that heavy, smelly, loud, inefficient weedeater. I then came back to worx to see what newer version I should get. I almost got the 56v combo, but why get that one when I have such a large yard and already own 3- 20v batteries? Now I have 6 batteries and a cordless blower that does just fine for my grass clippings. No more extension cords! Plus, FREE SPOOLS FOR LIFE. The 56v does not offer that and my friends, that was a deal breaker. In the end I didn't need more power, I needed extra batteries. My old batteries are still going strong too. We fully charge them right after using them and then I plug it in to charge about 30 minutes before using so they are nice and strong. The new speed charger that does 2 batteries at a time is awesome too. For my yard, I usually use 5 batteries and one time I used all 6 batteries. This was for weedeater and blower use. I Love the upgrades and I'm so happy I went with this option.

bought for mothers house to eliminate extension cords was skeptical about product just because price was so cheap but it works great batteries last very satisfied
