I bought the EX696L multi tool when it was on sale and thought I got a good deal. The tool sat in my workshop for a long time until used it. It worked great for about 6 cuts. Then it started making horrific noises and wasn’t cutting. It seems the shaft that connects the motor to the chuck has broken….. now I have a very pretty rechargeable paper weight…..
This tool does what it is intended to do very well. The fact that it has a variable speed setting wheel is very useful to set the appropriate speed for the job.
